the last night in minnesota!!! yaaayyyyyyy i'm so excited... as much as i've loved being back in the US for the past year (one year and one week, to be precise), it's time to move onto another phase of life... this time, iacopo and i can finally start an actual life together, living in the same place, even working in the same place!!! (again!) it's kind of a miracle and my friend juli in innsbruck calls francesco our "angel" for helping us get this opportunity. i think she's right. :)
thanks to everyone for hanging out with me while i was home - mostly my family, and new friends at work, it was great to be here to see everyone so much! sorry to those of you who wanted to hang out my last few days and there just wasn't enough time to do so... packing up life sure takes a lot of time and energy. it's amazing that all of that time and energy results as four suitcases and a backpack.
so tomorrow i'll have a nice day of going to the gym, enjoying a nice breakfast at the local cafe here in victoria with my mom, then some final packing (last minute toiletries, etc) and then it's off to TGIFriday's behind the MOA. my mom and i usually go there and have a nice salad, something refreshing before being on a plane for 8.5 hours. the flight takes off at 7:40pm, i arrive in amsterdam for a layover at 11am their time, then a quick 1 hour 40 min flight to milan, arriving in italy at 3:15pm. after that, iacopo and i will drive through the italian alps in piemonte and arrive in collex-bossy at our little swiss chalet that we now call home.
ok, time to go, so the next time i will be writing is from our new house! check back for photos of the travel later this week... i will miss everyone, be sure to keep in touch!!!
